Villa Mocenigo
Villa Mocenigo is a historic Venetian villa in Abano Terme, rooted in the long presence of the Mocenigo family, one of Venice’s most distinguished patrician dynasties. Developed as part of a vast landed estate in the Paduan countryside, the villa took its present form in the eighteenth century as an elegant aristocratic residence combining architectural grandeur with agricultural function.
Over the centuries, it welcomed notable figures including Carlo Goldoni and Giacomo Casanova, and remains an important example of the Venetian villa tradition at the foot of the Euganean Hills.
Today, the villa offers a remarkable setting in which architecture, landscape, and history converge, providing a compelling context for the presentation of sculpture and works of art. Both a place of heritage and a living environment for collecting, it embodies the enduring dialogue between art, domestic space, and historical memory.
